How the Program Works
Youth Life Cle is dedicated to addressing generational myths and negative cultural beliefs prevalent in families concerning mental illness and suicide. Our aim is to cultivate generations of young mental health advocates and leaders who are equipped to destigmatize mental illness and suicide. This mission empowers youth to proactively seek help and support their peers and family members in doing the same, while offering hope to their peers who struggle, and helping to saving lives.

The
Vision
Youth Life Cle (YLC) envisions a world where youth can openly discuss their feelings and experiences related to mental health and suicide prevention. Our program empowers young people to express themselves in a safe and supportive environment, from judgment. By fostering honest conversations and reducing stigma, we encourage youth to seek help and support when they need it most. Join us in creating a healthier, more understanding community for our youth.
The
Goal
Youth Life Cle aims to equip parents, trusted adults, and youth with the knowledge and skills to identify and respond to suicidal thoughts and ideation in young people. The intention is to foster open communication and enhance safety, enabling youth to feel comfortable discussing these concerns with trusted adults.
Key objectives include establishing a robust support system for both parents and youth to prevent crises and provide assistance during and after such events. Additionally, we seek to clearly define and establish community support and resources for youth seeking care for suicidal ideation or other mental health concerns. Finally, Youth Life Cle is committed to creating cross-agency coordination protocols with other organizations to comprehensively support youth experiencing suicidal thoughts or ideation.
