About the event
This project is a youth community service beautification project. It combines hands-on environmental stewardship with a lasting legacy and mental health benefits.
Key Aspects of the Project: Beautification/Revitalization: Cleaning debris and planting flowers transforms the space.
Personalization/Legacy: Youth create a lasting impact by placing their mark on the property. Youth will personalize the bricks that are being laid in and around the flower beds.
Service-Learning: This offers youth a way to gain skills in horticulture while earning community service hours and gaining knowledge of entrepreneurship.
Key Mental Health Benefits for Youth
Reduced Stress & Anxiety: Spending time in green spaces lowers cortisol levels, promoting relaxation and calm.
