A Mott Poll report conducted by C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital, the University of Michigan in 2022 reported that 9.4% of children in the US have anxiety, and 36% of teens experienced higher anxiety levels during the pandemic.
-
In addition, a study by Healthy Mind Network revealed 31% of college students have an anxiety diagnosis.

Teaching youth skills that help promote positive thinking, and good mental health can make a difference. Removing The Stigma and Cost Cutting Lawn Care developed a Youth Gardening program called “Youthful Land’s Spring Blossom Project”, the project focuses on facts that support gardening and mental health. “Gardening is a calming activity. Otis Brown, the owner of Cost Cutting Lawncare, collaborated with Removing The Stigma, and youth volunteers in the community to restore the portion of land at The Chanlder Park Building, located at 17325 Euclid Avenue in Cleveland, Ohio. The area had previously had trees cut down, and it needed to be restored with dirt, grass seeds, and hay.
